My feeling at this very moment is like bursting while sitting on the chair. I feel so helpless to think of I can't do anything except to wait and make follow up calls on their office (deca office). Take note, it's not a local call anymore because I am already out of Cebu City where we used to live in the past years. So thinking of the phone charges from my personal pocket is like hurting me bad. But what can I do with the Deca Homes poor customer service? By the way the mentioned subject here is a real-estate hub and at the same time a developer of Deca Homes subdivisions where actually scattered all over Cebu and its provinces.

Our issue with them is their staffs are so slow to process our documents. We just want their office to give us the PTO (permit to occupy) since we are already qualified to occupy the house but sad to say that takes forever. We just want to take possession of it so we can start the repairs or whatever renovation to beautify it and then rent it out, but they have lots of alibis that really take us in the long queue. I don't like it and I am so disappointed with their service. We are very updated in terms of paying but this is what we get. Grrrr............

Having Fun During Sinulog Festival

I felt glad that I was able to witness once again the Sinulog festival for this year 2012. So I did enjoy each every moment together with my cousins. It was an almost all day walking and standing in the crowd but it was fun though. We watched the street dancing while bumping to lots of people. Oh, it was such a terrific experience!

Anyways, here I go putting fake tattoos just like what mostly what people did lol! I just go with the flow of the mass.

Here Comes The Key to Travel: My Passport

Yesterday a courier guy delivered my passport after almost a month of waiting. Thanks DFA! I decided to do it that way so I don't need anymore to travel back to Cebu in order to claim my passport. I shared with you on my previous post how the procedure went through. The only unusual change happened during that period was I had my photo taking at the VIP section because they ran out of time (closing time).

So here's my new passport in Maroon color. Now we'll proceed to the next stage, another phase of life which is the major change.

Goldilocks is now in Ozamiz City

A day before Immaculate Conception's feast just few days ago was the grand opening of Goldilocks Ozamiz City branch. I was there on that day but only across the street and didn't bother to get inside the store because of the crowd. I am happy though because at last they made it.

I admit I am a fan of Goldilocks since we were living in Cebu. What I usually buy from them is their cake. Aside from a bit affordable they also have a wide range of selections. Just for a share to my lovely readers I have photos posted below showing the sweetness of Goldi.

Where is Fifteen Days?

I was so frustrated the last time I went to the DFA office for my passport renewal. Aside from the hassles I received which may not rare anyway when it comes to Philippine government services. What made me more upset was paying the fastest processing period which is 15 days but did not actually get it. I was there on 29th of November but the releasing period is December 29. Why DFA? Even though you are going to count the holidays, still it won't be that long. Please do the math DFA. The releasing date scheduled for me is not what I paid for! Grrrr.....Oh how sad, this is the Philippine government!

Where is the justice here?

Tonight is my come back to Cebu to continue what I have started on the last trip. Since we moved in Mindanao traveling is becoming more exciting to me. I remember how often I visit Virgin of Cotta during my college days. It just few minutes away from our school campus. The Virgin of Cotta is known as a miraculous image built in 1755 by Father Jose Ducos. A lot of people who come here offer prayers and light candles as the tradition of the Catholic church and believers.

"Nuestra Senyora de Triunfo" or "Our Lady of Triumph" is the real title of the image that has been famous of its name "Birhen sa Kota."

Search for Mr. and Miss Sportsfest 2011

This week CAMMSI is having their Sports fest celebration. As part of the program is their search for Mr. and Miss Sportsfest 2011 which has been held today at their school campus. All the students are the participants, from nursery to elementary level. My daughter is still in nursery level and she's also participating. I acquire her different outfits for the program even though I know that she is 50/50 to climb on the stage.

Today is the awaiting moment after the days they delivered their talent, worn swimwear attire, etc. At first my student climbed on stage for the production number but the rests she became an audience. She aggressively requested me to change her outfit like the other candidates every changing but when it comes to stage presentation she's on backstage. lol! Anyway, she's only 3 years old. She needs to eat sacks of rice first before proceeding to that stage. Besides, her daddy is very against in beauty pageant.

I remember how I dreamed of working in the office at the Human Resource Department when I was in college. When I started looking for job after graduation I enjoyed being interviewed by the HR personnel. In fact I was imagining myself as an interviewer. I don't know why I like that position, maybe just my passion. I know being on the Human Resource Management involves big responsibilities. Each employee has assigned task that needs to be fulfilled. And not only that, they are also evaluated based on their performance like other office departments.

In every business organization the Human Resource department serves as the heart in the entire sectors. The HR Manager should see to it that her subordinates are performing their duties accordingly using the HR Tools. They have the guidelines that needs to be follow from training, recruitment and other areas. When I had render my resignation Lexmark, who happened as my last employer I experienced to have a personal exit interview by one of the HR personnel. With all my past employers I can say that Lexmark was really on top in terms of HR Management. I was so impressed. Other business establishments should also finance their HR with appropriate and updated tools.

On Greek Fest

Hubby brought me to the place in Victoria where the Greek Fest was held. There were lots of Greek foods for sale, and there were lots of people too. There was a portion on the program which I did not understand and that was the folks on the stage singing Greek songs. As a respect of their culture, I just listened and clapped my hands like other people did after the folks done singing. It was fun though.

I've been monitoring pretty closely these two monitory currencies, Canadian Dollar and US Dollar because that's where our earning source comes from. If the economy is hurt we are also hurt.

This first chart illustrates the currency conversion of Canadian dollar to Philippines Peso for about a week. As usual it is rising and falling.

This 2nd chart above is a chart of US dollar to Philippines Peso. So far it is getting better. Hopefully the economy will continuously run as what everybody is expecting.

The Empress Hotel in Victoria

The Empress Hotel is the oldest 5 star hotel in Victoria, BC. I have never check in there but just seen it and visited their few boutique when hubby took me there. It is a nice place though. I like their garden because it has lots of colorful beautiful flowers. This hotel is just a walking distance to Victoria Harbour where there are lots of tourists coming in ride on cruise ships from different countries.

Few minutes ago the shocking news made my eyes open very wide when one of the CNN reporters reported about the experiment conducted by the U.S. government on the year 1940s. It is about the STDs being spread to Guatemalan people. For me that is so inhuman! How could they do that? The worst thing there is, the government didn't ask permission to perform such weird experiment.
How could the Guatemalan people handle this horrible news?

Typhoon Nanmadol Killed 10 People in the Philippines

I have not seen Philippine news for a long while. When I checked local news I was surprised with the typhoon Nanmadol left 10 dead people when it started heading for Taiwan. Three human beings buried in Baguio when a garbage wall collapsed. Found out two of them are children. The rest 7 people who were killed in landslides or drowned are from eastern Catanduanes province. What sad and fearful news!

According to the Philippine government forecasters, Nanmadol is the strongest typhoon that hits the country this year. My fellow countrymen let's just keep on praying. We should be strong and ready at all times.

Dapitan Field Trip

The school where my kids are attending has a field trip in Dapitan. They have different schools but they have the same destination and same accommodation which is Dakak beach resort. I want them to go but I am not just comfortable because I am not there to be with them. I felt sorry for my kids. After all the conversations we had, hubby and I decided that we'll go to Dakak when we get there. So the kids have to wait for that moment. Right now they can't go with their classmates.

Dapitan is a wonderful place with lots of things to do. When we go there I'd love to bring the kids to Gloria Fantasyland. I heard there are lots of rides for the kids to enjoy. I am looking forward to that moment. Soon I'll be in the back to my country where my 2 little angels continue growing with their grandparents. See you soon guys!

Victoria's Water Taxi

Last Saturday was my first time experience riding on the so called water taxi in Victoria. It was fun indeed! The fare is $5 per person in just a short distance destination. While you are on the ride you can enjoy the view of the Victoria Harbour. Really awesome!

The combination of green and black color boat found here below is what they call as water taxi. This is what you need when you are also lazy to walk. For the tourist, be on this taxi is such a great experience.

Embracing Jollibee Ice Cream

I remember how often I bring my kids to Jollibee when we were still living in Cebu. Now that I`m miles away I don`t know yet when that moment would happen again. I badly miss them. How I wish I have the wings to fly so I could see them whenever I want to. As a mother who have been there for them since I gave birth, and now being miles apart from them is so tough. It`s breaking my heart every time I think of them. I hope you understand what I mean.

Visiting NBI Once Again!

Last Tuesday was a long tiring day for me. I was awake so early for the goal of visiting NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) to get my clearance. The last time I took my last clearance was year 2007 and now that 2011 still the procedure has no improvement, still time consuming. I was so upset when I went there because the line for capturing photo is like more than 10 meters. Could you imagine that long line? Whew! way to long! The slow movement made me hungry and caused me a headache.

The rain started dropping on and off when I arrived to their office. Since I need to get the clearance I have no choice except to fall in line no matter or shine. So I fall in line and waiting under the heat of sun for the releasing of clearance. Now, based on that visit I observed that they still haven't find a bigger office to cater a mass of people inside an air conditioned building like other government offices such as SSS (Social Security Office), DFA (Dept. of Foreign Affairs), Phil Health and etc.

Today is April 27, 2011 and it's a non-working holiday here in Lapu-Lapu City. It is formally declared by the Malacanang in celebration of Kadaugan sa Mactan (KSM). Based on what I've read, today is the 490th celebration of the said KSM. But wait, I only able to find out that it's a holiday today when I went to the bank to pay my bills. Oh gosh! where is my earth? So tomorrow I need to be there early because the painter will show up to repaint the house. It will be a long day tomorrow then.

Anyway guys, I apologize for not giving often updates to this blog. I am just still not in the mood to do my blogging things. Hopefully soon I'll become motivated once again.

Yesterday was a nice bonding between me and my beloved daughter. We had fun conversing like both are old. My daughter is still 31 months but she talks like a grown kid. Renovating the Bathroom

Finally we are done with the renovation. Our bathrooms now look better than before. We replaced the old damage PVC door to an nicer one and with design of sea lives. The wires are now hidden beneath the cage. lol! The tiles are also look good as what hubby had told me. For bathroom accessories I placed stainless soap holder, stainless towel hood and more accessories. This time I realized that it is good to get a thing that would last longer. Although higher in price but really worthy in spending because of less maintenance.

As a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom) I love to earn few bucks in both online and offline. Lately, I am thinking of going back to the old work which is blogging. I love planting flowers around our house, but unfortunately there's no enough space for me to plant. Flowers add beauty to the whole place. Even if your house is not built nicely as long as there are blooming flowers within the place we can really say beautiful!

There are window boxes made of metal, wood, fiber and vinyl. But in all the types I prefer the metal window box. I got dark circles around my eyes for being up most of the night, and blogging is one of the reasons of that. I really hate the bags and dark circles to look at. UNO Celebration

Holy Infant School had their UNO program before their semester break. It was a lot of fun especially knowing that my son danced very well on their dance number. He's in the nursery group and as of now he already showed his talent in dancing.

Patiently waiting for the program to start. The sound system was 1 hour late ( as usual Filipino time "always late") that's why late also in starting the program.

The nursery group in afternoon session. I have the video when they were dancing but I am having trouble uploading videos so I can't post it here at the moment. Hopefully soon it will be okay because I'd love to share it here especially that it was son's first time dancing in public with lots of audience.

It's All Saints' Day!

All Saints' Day is also called All Hallows is a solemnity celebrated every November 1 by parts of Western Christianity, and in the first Sunday after Pentecost in Eastern Christianity, in honor of all the saints, known and unknown. So today it is what we are celebrating and I just finished attending the mass.

Tomorrow is another day and it is for the All Souls Day, still a holiday and people will be busy visiting their loved ones and relatives' tomb. Some would offer a prayer by requesting a priest to be there and a choir at the same time to offer some songs. Since my relatives were buried in the province so what I did today is offer a prayer mass for them. I hope they may all now have a peaceful life in the other world with Jesus.
